About Ms. Maas: A little about me...

I am passionate about life long learning, technology and mindfulness.  I have been encouraging learners of all ages to become confident, responsible, balanced consumers of all things digital for the past 25 years.

I’ve been a teacher in Douglas County for the past 15 years. I am the lead learner in my classes whether it's technology, multimedia, yearbook, broadcast journalism, or computer science you'll find me exploring and creating right alongside my students.  I also spent more than a decade of my career in the corporate world as an instructional designer and software trainer in the Bay Area.

In my spare time I love to do yoga, play outdoors with my family, friends and two dogs, Lila and Crash. I love listening to live music, learning new things and exploring interesting places.  I have three adult sons. My oldest just graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Chemistry and Applied Mathematics and is working for a year before going to grad school. My middle son is studying physics at Lawrence University in Wisconsin and my youngest is a freshman at CU Boulder.
