Amy Booth

I am excited to be the math teacher for the Panda Team at Mesa Middle School! I attended Southern Utah University, where I earned a degree in chemistry and math. While in college, I was the teaching assistant for organic chemistry, and I tutored pre-med students for the MCAT. I put my plans to attend medical school on hold and worked to support my husband while he finished his master's degree in accounting and while he began his career as a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service.  I taught middle school for five years in Utah and Connecticut. I then stayed home for the next 20 years to raise my children: Broderick, graduated from CU Boulder in economics, and is starting his second year of Law School at the University of Pittsburgh. He is married to the beautiful BreAnn, an event planner.  Wyatt is beginning his senior year at Colorado State University, studying Biomedical Science.  He spent the summer sending applications to medical schools across the country.  Brooklyn attended one year at Colorado State University, then took a leave of absence to serve an 18-month mission in Trujillo, Peru.  She will be home in December of 2025!  She will resume her studies at CSU, where she is also majoring in Biomedical Science.  She wants to attend medical school via the military and study emergency and trauma medicine.  All three are former Mesa Bears! I have been married for 32 years to my fifth-grade crush, Derek. We both highly value education!   I love to play the piano, read, solve trigonometry problems for fun, and play laser tag. I also love to spoil my 5-year-old Yorkipoo, Teddy!  This is my 6th year teaching at Mesa.  I spent the first three years teaching science, and I am starting my third year teaching math.
