Heather Pepper

 

Hi!  My name is Heather Pepper and I am thrilled to be back at Mesa this year as our 6th-grade Advisement teacher! I have been teaching for 25 years, 16 of which have been here in Douglas County.  Both of my kids attended Mesa and are Douglas County High School grads!  My husband is a firefighter, and we live here in Castle Rock. 6th Grade Advisement

 

Mission:

In Advisement, students will learn and apply foundational skills to help them become successful in middle school. Students will learn skills to aid in managing school responsibilities (executive functioning skills), explore strategies for managing emotions and behaviors (social and emotional learning), and evaluate technology tools to apply to their learning in ALL classes.

Homework Assignments and Grading:

Students will be given class time to work on assignments. If they use time wisely, they shouldn't have homework. Students will only receive a Work Habits grade for Advisement.
