Ellie Nate

I’m from Idaho and just graduated from BYU in Utah. I love the outdoors, both big and small. I’ve spent four summers in Alaska and love the tide pools up there! In my free time, I grow plants, go hiking, and love painting.
Students in 8th Grade Science will learn about Genetics, Energy and Matter, Waves, Earth and Space Systems, and Human Impacts on Earth. I’m very excited about these subjects, and I can’t wait to get your child excited too! Science is a very hands-on and collaborative field, and my class is too. Students will work together often through sharing ideas, conducting experiments, and class discussions. To succeed in my class, your child should always have their science notebook, science folder, charged computer, and curious mindset with them in class.
I’m delighted to be teaching in this community, and I look forward to getting to know your child throughout the school year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or if you just want to talk! You can email me at enate@dcsdk12.org
