Mary Murphy

Hello My Name Is...

Mary Murphy

I was born and raised in the great Buckeye state of Ohio. I grew up in Cincinnati and I am a football FANatic of my beloved Cincinnati Bengals. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. I taught in the Cincinnati schools before moving to Dayton, Ohio where I taught Middle School Language Arts in several school districts. I received my Masters in Education from the University of Dayton.

We moved to Colorado in 2000 and I have taught 8th grade Language Arts at Castle Rock Middle School and Mesa Middle School. I have also worked as a Secondary Curriculum Coordinator for the Douglas County School District. I have two daughters, and I live in Castle Rock with my husband, Michael. I love to ski, fly fish and kayak.

I am very passionate about helping my students to utilize their skills and desire to solve problems. My goal is for them to design solutions that will make a difference.
