Katherine Lewis

Hello My Name Is...

Katherine Lewis

I am so excited to start this 2019-2020 school year at Mesa Middle School! This is my first year teaching at Mesa Middle School and I am grateful to be apart of the wonderful staff and administration here in this building. I am honored to be a part of the strong, positive process of making a difference in a student's life and being able to be apart of the wonderful staff that does that every day here at Mesa Middle School. Teaching is my passion and helping my students better themselves and help make a difference in their lives, is also a passion of mine.
A little bit about me is that I am originally from the state of Montana: that is my home state. I moved to Colorado when I was still in elementary school and so I ended up going through the Douglas County School system as well, as well as being a former Husky as well :)  I am honored to be able to give back to the community that I was apart of in my public schooling. I earned my bachelors degree at Colorado State University Pueblo in General Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Recreation. I then furthered my schooling and earned my Masters in Education, emphasizing in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. I love to run, I love country music and spending time with my family and friends.
