Lainey (Latiolais) Pickett

Hello My Name Is...

Lainey Pickett

Dear Panda students and parents, Welcome to Individuals and Societies: American History Edition! I'm very excited for my first year with Mesa Middle School. I was born and raised in South Louisiana and graduated from LSU with a degree in marketing and a minor in international studies. I fell in love with teaching while working as a teaching assistant in France, and I was grateful to have rediscovered my passion while working in a Title I school in the Denver Public Schools system. I love cooking, traveling, music, dancing, camping, hiking, farmers markets, and learning more about my Cajun French heritage and language. My goal this year is to create an enjoyable learning environment for my students where they feel safe, empowered by knowledge, and set up for success. I look forward to meeting all of you as we begin this school year.
